Employability & Entrepreneurship Conference

empowerment3

The rate of unemployment in Nigeria exceeds the 50%  mark and Nigerians between the ages of 22 and 45 years old constitute the majority of this unemployed market.

Nigeria Dialogue believes creating job opportunities and facilitating adequate training is a fundamental way of reducing joblessness and develop the Nigerian economy; hence we are working with AIKI Nigeria creating SME’s and micro entrepreneurs, developing micro skills such as Baking, Soap making, Air freshener production, Production of Cosmetic and Beauty products, Leather works, amongst others, because these skills have no “formal education” barrier.

The event in Port Harcourt is the AIKI Job and Skill Acquisition fair presented by Nigeria Dialogue, The Future Project and Microsoft with Cool FM and Wazobia as Media partners. This project is a major intervention to reduce the steadily growing unemployment rate in Nigeria. It will focus on training and skill development and the target audience will consist of youths between ages of 18 – 35 years old.
